Complimented

The other night I was just working along at good ol' smitty's, when my accounting professor from last semester and his family came through my line. I said hello and we talked a little bit. He asked me how long I had worked here (smith's obviously) and I said about 2 1/2 years. I also told him that I was thinking of getting a second job at Texas Roadhouse. His wife looked shocked and said "How would you work two jobs AND go to school full time?" I responded by saying that it was a careful balance, and that I would be able to do it. Then my old professor said "she's a fast worker. She was always the first one, or close to it, done with my tests. She could do it." I don't know why this was a huge compliment to me, because really, it is just fact. But I realized that your professors do notice when you can do things well and quickly. The same goes for the workplace. Even if they don't say it while you're in the thick of things, they notice, and I was very appreciative of that he said something!
