Friendly Camping :)

Well, I didn't get the internship. Didn't even get an interview. But what's life if you take no chances, eh?

So this weekend me, manda, and all my roomies from last year went camping!! And it was THE SCARIEST drive i have ever been on in my life. (not because chels was a bad driver). Anyone who knows me knows that I am TERRIFIED of heights, well this road was like King of heights. i'm telling you, straight down on one side and straight up on the other. Then there were the blind curves where you hoped and prayed that someone wasn't coming around too fast that you'd have to jerk the wheel. Needless to say, i was very relieved when we got to the cabin finally :D

Keara came up late so we had to leave this sign for her to tell her where to go. the Yellow was to get her attention.
We walked down the road to open the gate for keara. We got down to the gate and she wasn't there! We kept walking and sure enough, she came driving up the road :)
Brittany played us the wonderful song she wrote which we decided to titled 'Not There' (this did not have to do with keara not being at the gate...) she is so talented, and I was very impressed! Great job britt, and you got to play the purdy guitar! ;)

We played curses that night. Oh, what a blast! We laughed until we cried (love that song...) I love doing that. Doesn't this picture just show how much fun we had? I know you don't like it chels, but I think it's classic :) manda was really funny while doing her challenge, she had to bite her tongue, talk like elmer fudd, and say 'yer after me lucky charms' each time someone touched her. hehe.

Chels copying me during curses. poor girl. i had my hands glued to the top of my head... so she had to keep them there to. we got pretty histerical at one point. This is where the laughing until we cried comes in.

You gotta roast 'shmallows' when you are camping. So when you have no fire pit... use the stove :) they were tasty, but i'm not a big s'more person, so I gave half of it to bec, who was happy to finish it off!

The next morning we took a little nature walk up to some nearby ponds. It was absolutely beautiful and very breath taking. I felt like we were on top of the mountain (which, quite literally, we were.) Here's Manda enjoying the view. Above her were some cliffs and trees, combined with the colorful flowers, it was a beautiful place to ponder things :)
Keara's lovely boquet
These are some cute little white flowers that i came across and just LOVED! the were so little and dainty and perfect and pure!
How 'bout that view!? You can see the mountains across the canyon faintly, that's how far up we were. Absolutely stunning! It was a wonderful trip!

Sorry about not getting the internship but you're right, you've got to at least try and take some chances, I'm glad you did.

As far as the camping....I wanna go there! It looks so incredibly beautiful, I especially love the photo of the lake!
