The Spectrum

Anyone who has never experienced the awesome-ness that is the inside of the Spectrum on game nights is missing out on the greatest experience of their lives. Utah State basketball games are one of my favorite things to attend. They are magic. The atmosphere inside the spectrum is electric. Half of the Spectrum is filled up just by students every game night. Every student knows all the cheers and are great at doing them in unison. Then there's the fight song and the Scotsman, also crowd-favorites. Everyone in the stadium claps and sings and herds and milks the cows (yeah, we're awesome!) One of my favorite cheers is:

We repeat this several times while jumping up and down. and EVERYONE jumps up and down, at the SAME time! It looks so awesome!

then there's the UP BY TWENTY (or thirty) cheer, that one's always fun. And when someone airballs, we like to remind them of their folly by yelling "Airball, airball" every time they touch the ball.

Then there's Wild Bill. If you haven't heard of Wild Bill, just look him up. You've been missing out. He is quite the character, and we love him! He even made ESPN's number one on the "10 top not plays"! Very exciting.

And when we win (notice the WHEN, not if) We like to point out to the team that we are the winning team and that they are the losing team by repeatedly pointing back and forth between our team and theirs and saying "winning team, losing team, winning team, losing team." Just so they don't forget!

Ah. The spectrum is magical. Aggie Basketball, I will miss you. Until next year...
