YSA Activity = Lots 'O fun!

Last weekend was the annual Young Single Adults boating activity. We left Friday around 1 o'clock. and got on a boat quickly when we got up to pineview. We were really lucky that day because it was supposed to rain, but the weather was PERFECT. I was partly cloudy while we were on the lake, and as soon as we got to the cabin, a downpour started. It was like heavenly father planned it for us :) So, Manda was wake boarding (she's pretty much pro at it). And she did something amazing! She actually got me to go out on the water, which is something I never do! I didn't get any pics of me on the water, because well, i was in it, so here is me sitting in it. thanks for taking good pics Manny... lol. I think my friends took some, so if I can get those from them, I'll post them. Anyways, I LOVED wake boarding. weird huh? I hate tubing, actually... I hate being pulled behind a boat on pretty much anything.... BUT, wake boarding was different, I think it was because it was hard work to get up and a lot more rewarding. I had a hard time holding onto the rope thingy, but once they threw me some gloves, i started to get the hang of it! It was a blast! (I don't know what I'm scowling at in this, i think the sun was glaring off the water) :)

This is Manda, doing a lot better than me, this is the only good pic i got of her wake boarding, there was one where she had better form, but it was really blurry, so you get this one. She really did do great though, popped right out of the water. :)

Here is Kimi, showing all of us up, she had never wake boarded before, and she got up her very first time and went forever! She was naturally good at it, and I think James (her brother) was a little bitter about it, they said it took him 27 times to get up, but I don't think it was that many... But Kimi did so great!!

Here are some of the boaties we went with. It was so fun to be with them. On Friday we actually had all wardies in the boat. It was Me, Manda, Sam Morris, Richard and Robby Maxfield, Kimi and James Memmott, and Jackie Coons. What a blast. Much thanks to our driver Steve Tate! Oh, his wife was there too, and is PRO at slaloming (Sp?).

Just being silly on the boat. We were having some fun while they blew up the tube.

This was at the hesslops cabin. Chels came up to spend the night and we had fun and played games and ate lots of food! we got big game of signs going which is SO much fun if your good at it :)

Taking pics at the cabin!

The traditional over-the-railing shot.

Saturday we woke up nice and early at 6:30. We drove out to pineview and were on the boat by 7:45. It was so cold we had the heater on in the car. I thought we must be crazy. But, I was the first one in the water, and wake boarding by probably 8-ish. It was a blast besides being freezing all day. Brother Bangerter was a great driver and a lot of fun to be out with :) After that, we found a group of girls we played volleyball with at Viewmont, and played volleyball in a circle in the water. We made a rule that you had to dive to try to save the ball, and it was SO MUCH FUN! It was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend. I wish we had gotten some better pics of it, but it's okay :)

I can't wait to get out on a boat again and try wake boarding again. I want to get really good at it. But in the mean-time I'll just have to be happy about this fun weekend!!

Looks like a blast Megs! I'm glad you got to go and that the rainy weekend didn't ruin your fun at all.
