four wheeling adventure

I went down to blanding for the week around new years. We had a really fun time. the first day we went to the goosenecks (which was one of my favorite places) and monument valley, which was also cool.
The second day was good, not as exciting, but good none-the-less. we went to feed to cows, and drove the montezuma canyon. There are some cool houses built right into the side of the rock. I would put some pics in, but my internet is being SLOW! so if you want to see any other pics of my trip, just ask :)
For new years we partied it up with kendall's parents and their friends, kelvin and dorothy. Haha, we just played games, and watched a movie. It was good. I also got to see my friend shannon! That was really fun! I love her!
To bring in the new year, we went on a really fun four-wheeling excursion. once again, slow internet, so no pics, maybe i'll post them when i go home this weekend. But, we got to see a really cool anasazi ruin. The house/dwelling/building (whatever you want to call it), was still really intact, and we got to go up to and explore around the area. They must have been really small people because kendall and I had a hard time fitting through the doors (which were more like windows).
We saw some cool petroglyphs along the way, which are pictures carved into the rock, the place that we found them probably had i hundred yards or so of army-looking carvings. it was very cool!
The best part about the four-wheeling trip was when we went to the top of san juan hill. Just a bit of background, the pioneers that settled that part of utah had to go up this hill, they were stuck in the valley, and a goat ended up showing them this route out. All I have to say is that I'm glad I was expected to be a pioneer, there is NO way you coul've gotten me to pull a handcart up that. It was scary enough on four wheelers, and me and terri (kendall's mom) and dorothy (the friend) walked together most of the way while the men drove the four wheelers up. At the top-ish, there is an inscription which says "We Thank Thee Oh God." After getting up it ourselves, Kendall said he was thinking the same thing. Then, we had to follow a rough trail down the hill (hill makes it sound small, it wasn't...). I was glad that I got to do this. It was fun, and I got to be a little adventurous :)
