The Food Olympics!

So last night i totally got tricked into going to a crazy activity! If i had known what it would be, i would have taken pictures, but alas, i didn't.

So David invited me to this food thing for his ward. I thought it was going to be a social, and maybe an eating contest for those who would like to participate. How wrong i was. Everyone who went had to participate in 4 events. So i got tricked into doing it, but it was fun.

The first event was drink connoisseur, this one was actually not to bad, we had to try to tell the difference between shasta lemon lime, sprite, and 7up. I was lucky enough to guess one right, which made me win that event lol. our group was really bad :)

The second event was pretty gross. We had to find a piece of gum in a bowl of flour, WITHOUT hands, then chew it up and blow a bubble. I thought i was going to die. It was so gross, plus i didn't have a hair scrunchie. afterwards, i had flour all over my face and in my hair, and couldn't get it out! oh well, it was still fun in weird sort of way.

The third event was a marshmallow relay. We had to carry 5 marshmallows, on spoons, in our mouths across about 25 feet. Then, eat all the marshmallows and put the spoon back in the first bowl. I lost this terribly. Oh well. :)

The last event was the donut on the string race that we've all played at halloween parties or whatnot. I lost and this one too, but it was way hard because there were like 8 people all crammed into like 5 feet of space, so we kept bumping into each other.

And last but not least, they made me, David, and a girl named robyn eat 6 marshmallows for a tie breaker. And then....! it ended up that they didn't need to do that. grrrr... i might not be able to eat another marshmallow for a while :).

Overall, it was a lot of fun though, and i got to eat lots of junk food. I enjoyed even though i got tricked into doing it!

That sounds awesome! I think I could totally do good in a food olympics...that is, if I didn't get too embarrassed during the contests, which is more than likely what would happen. Glad you went, glad you had a good time, wish you had pics :)

I wish i did too! sheesh, too bad I didn't know!

You would do good I bet. I felt like a complete fool, but you just gotta remember that everyone else looks just as silly, so it's all good :)

Megan,
I know I am new at this blogging thing, but I can't figure out how to post on the family site. Am I an author there? Please help your old aunt get the hang of it because I would like to post about Jessica's coming home.
