I've been having a hard time imagining myself in accounting for the past couple days. It's like i've lost all interest in the subject. I'm definitely considering other options right now. I've been bored out of my mind for the last couple days in my accounting class, and i don't want my MAJOR to be boring.
I'm seriously considering finding a beauty college to go to. I would love cutting and styling hair and think I would be pretty good at it. That is just scary because i would have no idea what to expect. I would feel like I was wasting two and a half years and my 'smarts' if I did that.
I wish I could just figure out something I REALLY want to do for the rest of my life. I'm interested in accounting, but doing it for the rest of my life doesn't sound like much fun, and my professor is really good and making it more boring than it already is.
Maybe I'll just have to wait out this semester and see how I feel at the end of it. Who knows, this might be just a 'stage' I'm going through. any input or advice would be welcomed. :D

It is such a hard thing to figure out, because it is your WHOLE life! I think doing hair would be good cause later when you are married and have a family, that is totally something you could do as often as you want out of your home! And accounting or other careers are not always so flexible! It's tough to make these kinds of decisions, but you are a good girl, and I know you'll make the right decision in the end, whatever you decide!
. . . and you could do my hair! :)
It is hard to decide, I changed my mind 3 times and I'm still not sure I decided right so I'll probably go back to school and do something else.
You would be GREAT at cosmetology and it would work out great for me too because you could tell me what would look good and then do it. I have a friend who really wanted to do hair but she's getting a "real" degree too so she has both, that's always an option for you. I think the most important thing is for you to ENJOY what you do, a lifetime is way too long to hate your career, that's why Jeff changed his major and basically started over--but it was important to me to have him enjoy what he does for a living.
Keep us posted (and sorry this is so long!)
Megan,
I would suggest taking a variety of introductory courses in a lot of different subjects and see what you love. Utah state has an amazing Interior Design program. Maybe you just need to do something more creative than analytical???
Hmmm...I think Kate's comment is interesting since Jeff has been telling you that for a long time :)
maybe you should apply somewhere that does hair or something like that. but don't let them tell you what their company's name is. it's better to work for an anonymous identity
